Children HARO has already stood beside

Eid gifts, cash support and orphan care from HARO's field record.

  1. 2013Eid funds for 137 orphaned children — 57 girls and 80 boys aged 6 to 15 — at Masjid Al Huda in Garowe.
  2. 2015About 200 orphaned boys and girls in Garowe received Eid money for new clothes from Ramadan donations.
  3. 2017Eid gifts reached up to 150 orphans in Garowe and Dangoroyo, continuing a program begun by the late Sheikh Abdulqadir Nuur Faarax.
  4. 2018Eid clothes for over 200 orphans in camps around Mogadishu, and Eid clothes and cash for orphaned children in Qardho.
  5. 2018Fifty women caring for orphans in Kismayo trained and given start-up capital through HARO’s microfinance program.
  6. 2019A two-bedroom home built for a family of four at KM13, Afgoye, under the HARO Orphanage Housing Project.
  7. 2021An orphanage home handed over to the orphaned children of the late Ahmed Mohamud Guled in Yubba, Sanaag region.
  8. 2022Make Orphans Happy on Eid reached children in Xarfo, Galmudug, and orphaned children in Laascaanood.
  9. 2024Eid gifts of $5,000 raised by the diaspora distributed to orphaned children in Laascaanood, and food packages for orphan-headed families in Eyl.
